Re: WK2 DownUnder

The info was there for those that cared to respond. If you didnt know theres no point responding. We could throw this back and fourth forever with the smug insults but aren't we all here for the same reason? as for being an expert I guess I know a little more than an accountant offering mechanical advise!!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Well got the girl back from the service department, she has to go back next week as they could only do one half shaft. Apparently the RHS is leaking diff oil, not much just wet enough for them to be concerned. They have ordered the replacement seal which is in stock. The guys were more than happy to accommodate getting her back together so I could travel to Sydney tomorrow. to these guys.

We are all here to help each other, but when you ask questions without providing much info or details, then ignore advice, by claiming you are an expert, it does piss off people.

You need to learn forum etiquette and give DETAILS, as we can only guess what model you have and also not discredit good advice.

Post 3017 no model information.

Think the point the others here are getting at is a Laredo does not have anything in the tub under the passenger seat.
Then the limited has a little more.
Add QL another board goes in there.
Then Add vented seats and Electric tail gate another board goes in there.
Three in total from memory.

So the model does come relevant when asking a question.

Sorry the guys have been a bit blunt, we all have our moments.

You can't spell and you are lazy. If you know your way around electronics, then you would have known that it would have been quicker to test the wires, etc, than to wait for a reply.
Btw. The post above is where you claimed you were an expert. 100%

Re: WK2 DownUnder

If I am indeed one of "the guys giving out info", can you point out where I had "no idea" please? Clearly too... because obviously we're mostly stupid around here and can't even understand what you meant by "which wire under the seat can I pull power from" or whatever the exact wording was.
:sly:
Don't cry hurt newbie feelings either. Everyone tried to help you, politely, and no reply was without value based on the information you had supplied at that time.

Now off to Channel 40.

You provided so little info, for all I know you're from Kazakhstan and have WK2 1438 circa horse and cart set up.

That aside, I like your UHF and aerial setup, pretty cool.

I don't want to do this mod, if it will give my insurer the chance to walk away from their responsibilities in the case that I have an accident claim...

Cheers, Simon

Remember that just because it's legal doesn't mean your insurer has to accept it. Any lift at all will make the car inherently less stable. If the insurer was aware of it they would surely try it on. You need to read the fine print or get some guidance from your insurer.. good luck with that!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Guys and Gals,
can we stop the narky, bitchy, snipes at each other and the new guy, no one likes to be ganged up on!, his first post might not of been perfect, but let's move on and welcome someone new who might be able to help us out in the future!.
One of my favourite things about this forum is the lack of bitchy forum jockeys, hoping it stays that way!.
Ps I can't spell either, doesn't mean I can't strip rebuild and rewire a car, or hold down a full time job!.
