Got the UH8060NB. Got it for $309 posted express with an AT870 antenna.

Uniden UH8060NB UHF Radio AMP Bonus AT870 UHF Rugged Antenna Bnib 4WD Cars Vehicle | eBay

Would have gone the cheaper model, but I wanted the backlight to match the rest of the interior lighting so went with a model with selectable backlight colour.

It's only two wires (+ / -) to solder, and I just got power from the cigarette plug behind the air conditioner controls. Was pretty easy to get to. The hardest part of the install was removing all the plastic trim behind the glovebox to get to the antenna wire passed through the firewall. Had done it before for the lightbar so it was a little quicker this time. Routing the wires was easy after that.

The CIB car at work has the GME TX3100 with a cigarette plug and magnetic antenna. I haven't driven that car much but it seems to work fine. Looks messy with the wires everywhere though.

Do you need to drill the guards to fit the flares?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Nope. The screws are only there for looks. Attaches with screws and clips to factory locations in wheel well, and then double-sided tape along the top. It's pretty easy to do. Hardest part was trimming the front ones. Oh, and I used the wrong clips on the door pieces so they don't line up completely perfectly, and I had to buy more to do the fronts. Stupid part numbers only being different by one digit.

Spotted... Lancom's Grand Cherokee in the main street of Kalgoorlie. We called in from Ora Banda for a Super Pit tour.

My girlfriend asked why there's a golf club on the roof of your car ;-)

Cheers,
Steve

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I don't know if any of you recall the issues I had when I had my bullbar installed, but essentially the numpties at Opposite Lock in Alice Springs broke 4 of the front parking sensors, threw away all 6 of the o-rings, installed the sensors anyway, noted that an error message appeared, and then refused to fix it (amongst several other things they did wrong). I got a quote from the dealer for replacement sensors, at $280 each just for parts. Bosch stated that they have a contract with Jeep and are only able to supply the part to them.
While browsing eBay recently I decided to have another look for the sensors, and found them... for $25 each! The o-rings were sold separately for $2.99 each. So for $168 I have ordered 6 new sensors and o-rings.
I haven't received the sensors yet to confirm that they are a genuine Bosch part, but they were listed with the Bosch part #.
If they can be sold at $28 each, and a profit is still being made at that price (otherwise why bother selling them), why is Jeep selling them at a 1000% mark up? Craziness.

Sadly, because they can. All that greed and then they bitch because piracy and imitation knock-offs is rife. Sell them for a fair price and I'm sure most of us would do the right thing.

Does anyone know where we can get the SRT centre caps from. Aside from one ad on eBay is there anywhere else?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Sensors arrived. Genuine Bosch parts, even painted brilliant black. Not going to have a chance to fit and test them before my holiday, so I'll get it done when I get back in a few weeks.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

No, unless you're thrashing your car everyday and hard braking. Stealership being sneaky again. If in doubt, take it apart and look at it yourself or get an independent mechanic to take a look.
