No far from it.
It is a nickname some fellow aero modellers gave me.

Btw. The pdr guys do a really good job with hail. I cant believe they got out about 100 tiny dings from my bonnet. Essentially my car was with them for a couple weeks. Feels good to not have a beater respray.
Haha, yeah I've been flying the flag on whirlpool, having some fun with the toyota boys.

Probably got about 50-60 dings on the roof bonnet, and passenger side doors and quarter panels. It's going to be a bit of work, but should all come out ok I think.

The renault is insured, I thought I'd raised the excess to save some money, but just checked, still $600. Still not good losing that at christmas time, just as I was about to blow $1800 on a uneek roof rack too.....

oh well, it's only money.

RIP Phil Hughes.....

Yeh thats what I paid for excess last month. Aami wanted the panel beaters to bogg up and respray - but the beaters denied and got their pdr guys to work on it. The reason being is the beaters aren't going to waste their time to bogg up a bonnet for the reason the insurance company "doesn't" want to fork out the cost of a new bonnet! I can't believe aami didn't want to shell the cost of a bonnet.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yeah, this one is RACQ, hope they don't suggest bogging it. They look like they will mostly pop out ok, a few on crease lines that might be tricky, and lots of dents in the panel between the roof and the doors....

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hmmm, looking at the value on the missus car, I think they are going to write it off. Redbook says around $8k.... that's gonna suck!

When I saw the Brisbane storms on the news I immediately thought of a stack of brand new JGCs sitting in a dealers yard waiting to be picked up by excited owners. Any Jeep dealerships in the path of the hailstones?

Moorooka would have got hit for sure.....

I had a chat with the missus about what we do if the car is written off and we get a small payout. The upshot is she gets the Jeep and I get my mums corolla..... great!

Now you're talking. My wife wanted to downsize to a small car from a Nissan Pathfinder. She did.
Now that she has driven the Jeep, she wants one. She says I should get an SRT. All I need now is the money :-(

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yeah, its bad timing for us if it does get written off. Just bought the Jeep, finishing up renos, and the missus is about to give up work.... don't think I'll have the cash for 12 months or so for a new car.

I think everyone on this site aspires to an SRT. My wife may even get me a "Launch" button to install in my Jeep as a Christmas present just to make me feel better.
