Really nice car, but I wouldn't own one personally.

Yeah, more realistically, maybe an IS350 or Volvo S60...... anyway, not likely any time soon.

What is the ground clearance of the SRT? I had a car with a sports suspension. Got sick of having to slow over speed bumps and scraping the air dam on curbs so got rid of it and bought a Jeep. Unless the SRT has the same off-road capability as a standard Grand, it's not for me.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The SRT is only like an inch lower than a JGC. I have not had an issue with ground clearance, and several people have gone offroad with them.
I upgraded from a CRD Oveland and it was the best move ever. I am a hoon at heart, so the Diesel did not cut it for me.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yeah, I'd love to have that kind of power, but the missus doesn't like me doing that kind of thing and I have kids these days, so probably not going to happen..... I can dream.

On a recent tagalong trip I went where the "real" 4wd's went. Just gotta pick a different line where ruts are involved.

Well pi$$ed... Had my GC Overland for about 4-5 weeks now, binged all over and a crack in the windscreen.

Was trying to get into cover at Bowen Hills YMCA, some idiots stopped under the bridge on sandgate road, not caring about everyone behind them...

Oh man.... I was hoping none of the Brissy GC owners got hit. I caned it to get home before it started to pour down, but luckily no hail in my area. Lots of fallen branches though.

That really sucks! Hope it gets fixed ok.

Hmmm, can see this ending in tears. She gets hooked on the jeep, you get the SRT and guess who ends up with the crd! Can't see her driving the "old clapped out" Jeep when there is a newbie sitting in the drive! Better off getting her a Fiesta as a replacement.

Looked in at Aspley Jeep on the weekend and every car on the lot was damaged. I counted about 10 new JGC's, as many if not more latest model Cherokees and a heap of Fiats and a couple 300C's. Not a pretty sight.

Make them an offer they can't refuse! I reckon you could pick up a bargain!

Yeah I would love the SRT, even the pre 2013 will do. But I'm not sure about the running cost of them in the long run. The fact I'd have to shell another 75k or more for another Jeep, I'd have to think twice. Maybe a X5, evoque or LR RR sports....

I'd keep it under the table for now, misses is up for a replacement next as her xr6 is up next.
