Its a different frequency range so you may aswell stop thinking about it. Unless you somehow wire one of your remotes to the button.

People have modified the centre console are near the 4WD selector to have a button for the remote.

Prefer Grand Cherokee's, share tyres Ect. also great photo ops if we get three or more..

We are eventually going to Fraser Island (on my bucket list), but others could head back from Alice etc.

Maybe. Need to drive from Tennant Creek to Brisbane in early July so I can get some work done by Murchison Products while I'm in Germany. I could possibly be persuaded to take the long shortcut.

Customtronix Rax-Jailbreak

Looking through "the new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software" thread there were questions about the jailbreak from Australian JGC owners.

Has any one purchase this product yet here, and if yes what do you think of it.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I have the basic Bronze system Warren, and it hasn't caused any issues. The reports regarding the camera enabled Silver package are all good too.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Steve, I am looking at the Silver package. I want to connect the rear view camera on caravan to the vehicle screen.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I gather you want to be able to have the camera on at any time Warren? I have aimed mine for reversing, so it's useless as a rear vision device once underway. Hence it's reverse switched.

One observation from recent trips is how much we toggle between screens on Uconnect. This is partly due to my navi tablet blocking the hardware controls, but I mention it as a consideration. FWIW I'd probably have a "towing only" mirror mount screen with my set up.

Just checking you're clear on your wants

Cheers,
Steve

You should try a camera i have on my hilux. Its a Kenwood unit. Comes with a controller you can mount somewhere, and enables different views. Ill post a video or something tomorrow. It basicly enables you to position it once, and use it for parking or rear view, or both as it can split the screen in two and show multiple views. Pretty fancy. Ill confirm the model, but from memory its CMOS 201. teally simple to install.

Edit: its 310.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hot tip! Kenwood CMOS 210... also 320... look very cool indeed. I'm researching whether I'd have to re-cable right now.

Cheers,
Steve
