Quite right. They will easily clock up 6km driving out of the factory into the yard, yard to the trailer, trailer to the rail yard, rail yard to the train, train to the dock, dock to the ship, then the reverse to get it off the ship to the dealer.

My salesman told me he gets plenty of buyers wanting to know why their "new" car doesn't have zero kms. Just not possible as you have shown above. I think from memory mine had 15kms.

Plus the QA in at the end of the line 1-2km there.
Every so many go on the test track for a 10mile i read somewhere 16km.

[QUOTE=siddant;1143408]Thanks everyone.
It was floor stock. and since we started negotiating , they did bring it out once and has six kilometres on the clock. so it is a demo.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd say the car is Registered in the Dealer's Company name, Now being the First Owner, so off the street New Car Buyer buys the car becomes the second owner, so the car is secondhand. That's why siddant getting it at a Good Price.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

My factory ordered SRT had 33 km on pick up. Did do a trip to get window tint and detailed. Think it had 17km on it when it was unloaded of the car carrier

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Mine also had around 30kms. I had tinting and a tyre change done.

On another note - my order sheet listed "Cargo Trim Panel w/Storage Net".

I did not receive this net. Have you guys received one or does the dealer just add it to their Mopar spares ?

I was there when mine was unloaded from the truck. Still had all the plastic inside it.
All the bits and pieces were in a large bag taped behind the back seats.
Cargo Net
Start button
Ash tray
Rear Camera
some trim pieces
Cant remember what else there was but was surprised how much the dealer had to fit.

You got me wondering, so I removed all the parts/bins and even looked under the spare tyre. Unfortunately, it probably went elsewhere

I did get the other bits (cargo cover, ashtray, useless torch)

Re: WK2 DownUnder

It's a lottery. My second car didn't come with the ashtray, but I already had one from the previous... not that I have the need.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

With all the plastic packaging it would be easy for a apprentice to throw out small items like the start button. Or leave the net on the floor in the detail shop.
They should have a pre-delivery check list with all the loose or removable items on it. touch, ash tray, start button, floor mats (mine came oem from the manufacture).
