Re: WK2 DownUnder

Why not get a clear detector, deflector, squasher and then put a vinyl wrap on it?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

For those who have been reading along, from late 13 until mid 14 I had an ongoing issue with airbag lights. After numerous trips to the dealer I thought it was fixed.

GM you need to drive at highway speed to get the temperature up.

Sorry... that's some inappropriate MY14 humour.

Yes of course, a clear deflector won't work because the bugs won't see it before it's too late. Anyway, I find the modern windscreen works perfectly at deflecting the bugs out of my face. I no longer have to wear goggles like in the old days.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

A friend of mine just returned from a 4WD trip to the Vic High Country.
He mentioned that on one of the tracks they came upon a film crew making an ad for Jeep. They had a reporter in a New GC demonstrating the offroad attributes.
Only problem was this reporter drove it over a rather large, sharp rock which penetrated the sump. They then apparently continued to drive it until the engine seized. The reporter then hopped into a helicopter and got out of the place, while the others attempted to tow the GC out. Took them several hours, and apparently was a delight to watch.
