WK2 DownUnder

Just south of Goulburn on they way home from a quick trip to Melbourne for the footy ( go swannies!). Spent Saturday night in Melbourne and then a couple of days around Bright. Jeep has performed flawlessly - they really are a great touring vehicle. Highlight was a (very) quick run up Mt buffalo for the sunset last night. This may answer a few questions.... it appears they were to busy elsewhere to become involved with customer service.

Sorry Qpr - was in the middle of something else so couldn't reply in detail.

It has been confirmed by one of the Australian MY15 GC owners (sorry can't remember who - would need to search) that confirmed the functionality of VR to Nav.

It is operational on our MY15 KL which prompted my original question to anyone that had taken delivery of an MY15 GC and the response back was affirmative.

Perhaps Fredescu can reconfirm?

I'll have a look tomorrow. I did notice the Nav has a new splash screen with a picture of the globe on it. I wasn't sure if that was just a new Uconnect version or not, I don't think I was all the way up to date before. I never really tried voice commands in the past. It was VR for place names that didn't work before, right?

The splash screen with the globe appears only with the MY15 models. Cool pic eh.

Address input via VR for you to test. Press the VR button and then say 'Navigate to 123 address, suburb, NSW' for example.

Also you can test - Find nearest petrol station, school, restaurant etc. That works as well for me on the KL.

I got it to find nearest POI, but I couldn't get it to recognise any addresses by voice. I'll keep trying. The keyboard works while moving too, so that's nice.
