We also have a Golf GT which is the diesel version of the GTI. Am reluctant to get any "fix", as I feel it will be detuned. If they do that, then they will need to compensate us for the loss in advertised power.

All the fix will do is clog up the inlet manifold quicker, oh and help a greenie justify its existence

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hi Guys was just wondering what your view is on buying a 2015 now or wait till after new year and see if there is a price drop, (looking at a BlackHawk) or maybe even waiting for a 2016 model. I am trading a 2012 Laredo with Leather and getting shafted as it is. Any thoughts?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Perhaps if you are flexible and/or willing to buy out of your area you might do better as the update hits the ground, or gets close to arrival. However bear in mind that finding a specific combination can be difficult, even when stock is plentiful. You might have to travel if you have particular wants.

After Christmas might be an opportunity to negotiate a deal as many people are somewhat skint? Also, I'd expect a lot of people in the market would like their new car before Chrissy so they can enjoy it over their holidays.

Story time. When looking for replacements for my Prado in 2013, we were initially looking at the MY11-13 model. As cash buyers, I didn't feel that the deal was super awesome... so we waited. The MY14 turned up and didn't really cost us much more than the "run out". Whether this translates to your possible experience is another matter.

Happy shopping!
Steve

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I think the Blackhawk editions sell pretty well as they offer more value. You might be ok and snag one up next year but more likely to be a std model

Blackhawks are normally gone in a few months, I brought one in August 2014 they had just come out lasted maybe til Oct/ Nov.
2015 model will be the same, mind I they have gone up a bit in twelve months.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hi where is the best place to order genuine parts in AUS? I am looking for a black mesh grill insert and also a front recovery hook.

Also does anyone know if the 20' grand cherokee wheels will fit a patriot?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Booked the car in for the 30k service, appears they got my mobile wrong. Had tried to call me regarding fixing the damage they did changing over the rear camera loom and rear stone guard. Will get both fixed at service next week. Will be interested to see what I pay for the service given I have always gotten a cheaper "fleet" price, now that we have the "fixed" price option.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The big day has finally arrived!

Ordered my new SRT a few months ago and now I'm picking it up tomorrow morning! My order form says September 2015 build date, December compliance date.

Brilliant Black, Harman Kardon, Sunroof, Shadow Chrome Spider Monkeys - I can't wait to get my arse in the seat! I can feel the demerit points disappearing from my license already hehe
