Problem sorted.

Hoepfully this helps others in Aus that are looking to install the chr550.

The "TV" tab doesnt physically show up. However, if you keep changing bands using the steering wheel controls while in radio mode, after FM a third screen appears with "initialising" written on it and after a few seconds...the lockpick options appear.

Must be something to do with not having SAT TV I guess. At least now we know the lockpick works with our systems.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Sounds great Licoric, please let me know your opinion on the CRD after a few days of ownership. I only got to drive one for an hour, and this was just in the suburban roads. What want to know is how it goes in the higher speed cruising and overtaking. What I liked about the CRD was the big hit in power when you floor it, it does not feel like a lazy diesel, but a hypo petrol turbo. I am sure that when I get it, we will also adapt to the lazy cruisey driving style that this motor seems to make you want to drive like. After an hour, I felt more relaxed driving than I have ever felt in any car. I hope our ship makes it's run in record time.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

They choppered them onto the boat as it was sailing. This is why it cost so much for our Jeeps in Oz, we get airfreight to the boat and from the boat to our dealers. Saves them a few days in travel apparently.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

After three stick shift ford turbo utes this is a mighty change. Am still liking this armchair ride, 2000rpm 100 klicks so to me the 5 speed is on the money, its quite quick for a truck, turbo lag not really, not with this much torque on tap, just grunts up hills, loving all the trick features this thing is loaded with.

When everyones overlands get here i hope the shipment of MYGIG radio books are also coming, apparently on back order, just like your overlands lol

Re: WK2 DownUnder

nice to see another Ford convert. I have a Turbo Territory Ghia we are getting out of to get the Jeep. I have also had a '04 XR6Turbo (5sp), BF Typhoon and now a GT-E, so I also love my Fords. The Wife enjoys the kick from the Turbo, so I knew the CRD was the best choice for us.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Found out today that One positive of having to wait NINE months to get my Overland is that I'll be getting a MY2012 with the 6 speed transmission.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Mine also is meant to be an aug build as a 2012 model, but dealer says still 5 speed. Also new jeep brochure for Oz with CRD specs also still shows 5 speed....?
