Apparently the fix for the sunvisor didn't work and there is a recall so they can have another crack.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

A conspiracy theorist might think they are just thinking up these recalls to get us into the dealers. BTY, a "...high resistance short..." is a contradiction of terms. I'm not sure what they are getting at other than the wiring could be suss.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I don't know why they bother. The last 2 services I had, after receiving the recall letter, both resulted in the repair not being carried out due to lack of parts.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Mine had no issues I and got the original visor recall done (MY14). I later had a failure of the overhead lights due to a short

Although it kinda suggested there may be a fault after work being done ....

The sun visor vanity lamp wiring on about 651,000 of the above vehicles may experience a high resistance short after a service repair to the sun visor, headliner or while gaining access above the headliner. This may result in an inoperative vanity lamp and an increased risk of fire.

If it aint broken ..........

Re: WK2 DownUnder

If anyone is thinking of roof racks I picked up a new set of Rhino roof racks today from Autobarn. 25% off this weekend so $300 for the pair is pretty good.

They seem to have a few models for the GC. Which one did you get?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

All good.

Rhino racks area bit fiddly to fit after a rum and coke and a beer and in the dark, but we got there.

Happy with the result.
