Re: WK2 DownUnder

The 2016 The Tyre and Rim Association of Australia Standards Manual has just come out. See The Tyre and Rim Association of Australia - Official Site. It costs $68.20 a hit but considering the cost of a full set of tyres and maybe rims as well, in my view it is money well spent to know what's what and to be able to cut through dealer BS. For each standard tyre size, it gives full dimensions of tyres and rims, performance criteria and load rating curves versus tyre pressures. However, note that while the manual is sponsored by the major tyre companies, the data is purely generic, no brands are mentioned.

Hi does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit quadra lift on a Blackhawk grand cherrokee?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

It would cheaper and easier to sell and buy a GC with it on, in saying that why, I run a 2 inch lift with steel springs and really I thinking is better and less heartache by worrying about any failures of the air suspension.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Agree with the above comment. Just get a good lift kit instead of bothering with quadralift. AFAIK it can't be retro-fitted to a steel sprung car, and I may be biased but I reckon lifted GC looks better with a lift, and handling is still pretty damn good afterwards

Cheers, Simon

It can but the cost would outweigh changeover cost to trade in for one with quadralift.

There are aftermarket airbag suspensions which would be more reliable than the oem.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

i know ill probably get shammed on here but...

the main reason I am after quadlift is so i can lower the car around town to look a bit more aggressive.

Also i would get the benefit of being a bit higher for the 1 -2 times a year it hits the beach.

I guess aftermarket is the way to go but will this kill warranty and selling value?

How are known to offer the best solutions for this?

"Aggressive", you've got to be joking. I lower the car so that my 93 year old mother can get in and out. If you want aggressive, shave your head, get some tats and a nose ring.

WK2 DownUnder

Aggressive is the keyword that gets the ball rolling. It's a JGC, an old mans car

I'll get slammed for saying that

Why do you need anything from Jeep? You have a phone number just put it in your phone and call them if you need to .They have all your details registered when the car is sold

You are assuming they have your details.
I phone asking where my membership card was only to find out they didn't have any of my details. This was 12 months after the purchase.
With FCA I don't assume anything.
