Yep, I have the current CRD brochure and it is a 5sp, as is the build sheet. The good thing is it is the same 5sp as the v6 and SRT8 have, so it is a strong box.

Had the pleasure of being in new CRD limited today and wow what and engine, plenty of torque, very drivable and a great note to go with it. The whole package is a real winner i will be crunching numbers over the next couple of days but boy I want one.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

This might not be the right place to post this but i thought since this is the aussie forum it might be worth it.

I have new rims coming next week and i am using the exisiting tyres, leaving me with the stock laredo 18" rims with nothing to do with them.

Do you think there would be anyone around interested in buying them or would you think its worth keeping them and fitting a set of good off road tyres to them to put on for the occassions im going to do some 4 wheel driving?

Dealers wont be crunching the price on a CRD me thinks, probably go the extras path, make a long thoughtful list, and just see what they baulk at,
goodluck with it

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Jefferson, sounds good ill message you once i have the new rims on, i really dont know what they would be worth ill have to check it out. Wont be hard to get them to Coffs, i was in Coffs only a couple weeks ago. I didnt notice another GC driving around but if i did i would have been waving around to say hello lol.

Licoric i went to the dealers monday just gone, i didnt have the fault appear again since i was off road but the dealer said they did find a fault code C2221 and they applied TSB 21-008-11 and that it fixed it. I guess i wont know for sure unless i get stuck in the middle of no where again bogged with no 4wd, I really wont be happy if that happens!

They say the TSB applies to vehicles built before June 16 2011, so I would highly reccomend to anyone getting that TSB done before you end up like me and get stuck somewhere. I would hope all the dealers here apply the update automatically but i wouldnt count on it.

The only thing that worries me is that nowhere mentions the QL failing at the same time as the 4wd but that is what happened to me, but both came back to life at the same time so im counting on it that they were related.

QL hasnt failed again since that day, so fingers crossed.

Yeah not expecting to much crunching on there side but lets face they are holding the aces at the moment. I will need to see what the payout is on my territory and then take a bex and have a lie down when they value it. I got the feeling today there may be a little movement but will know more when they value my car on the weekend and we get a little serious. The only disappointment is that they are not offering fleet discount on the Grand Cherokee at the moment because of demand and don't foresee offering any until late next year.
