I realy dont trust the local dealership to be honest. To the point if they cared about my car why did they only do a manual burn off and not check for flash updates and inform me of them.
I would certainly prefer your petrol head mates. Ask them if they can get a hold of whatever they need to do the update. It's surely easier for them then for us and it should pay for itself when word gets around.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The colour choices offered from factory are hardly inspiring, but that's definitely not my taste either. Hopefully it's Plasti-dip or vinyl wrap!

Anyone got fitting instructions for the Uneek bash plate? Mine arrived today but no instructions and I want to make sure it's on properly

Great, now you have someone to talk to. Getting her to understand is another matter but then maybe you are used to that

Hey Tillsy,
I just updated mine yesterday. 16.13.13 How do you access SIRI?

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Maybe the DAB option is still hit and miss as per an earlier update. I just saw the picture from Tillsy above and it does not have the DAB button.

Interesting, never heard of that before? I've played with a lot of speech recognition over the past 20 years and it has certainly been pretty poor. but I can't say I have ever encountered Siri complaining - not even once - that she can't understand something.

In fact, because of the TV ad with cookie monster, my 4 year old daughter is forever telling Siri to start countdowns on her iPad and again Siri happily complies.

Siri was important to me because I'm in the slow process of wiring my whole house to be HomeKit enables, so having Siri integrated into the Jeep will mean I can more easily interact with all that in the car (albeit I aim to move to the Apple Watch for this eventually).

Hold down the VR button on your steering wheel for a couple of seconds to engage Siri. Merely pressing it activates the VR mode which is advertised but intentionally heavily crippled for us in Australia.
