I strongly suggest you contact them on Facebook, as it is very public and they seem to be very active in there. Ask them why you have been treated this way and what they are going to do about getting you the car you ordered NOW.
Most large businesses know that social networking can make or break a reputation for letting people down. It is not hard to keep someone in the loop, even if honesty lets you down, at least you know where you are in the Q and you know the truth.
I am waiting to get a VOR on my car and am hopeful I have a dealer that will not BS me. They have not released the pricing for the CRD yet, so I have a hemi priced CRD order.
You would think that if Jeep wants dealers to order these cars, they should know the pricing and delivery times.
I have been told late July for me, but I will not hold my breath until I get a VOR and start tracking it.
I would not cancel your order, as I think these cars ARE worth the wait.
Find someone who will tell you the truth and work a deal from there.
I am getting out of a Territory Turbo Ghia and am lookiing forward to getting ours.

I don't find facebook all that great, cant have a straight forward conversation.
It appears to be all over the place, unless your in and on it all the time you lose track of what is being said.

That's my thoughts about facebook. I posted there anyway see what happens.

first week August, end of August, August September.
How many ships with jeeps on are coming to Oz.
When I first looked at the GC the dealer told me they got 3 to 4 shipments a year.
Well we will see what happens.
Just be patient they will get here.

I think the best way forward is to demand a VOR/Enumber/VIN from the dealer.
If they give you some BS reason that Jeep has not allocated them yet, get onto Jeep Oz and start harrassing them. It is not acceptable to be fed BS about delivery, they should know and they do know when the ships will be landing and what stock they have. The only way to get action is a united front from us the clients to make them provide this info.
I was told that Jeep will be sending emails with VIN's attached for some survey. I will wait and see if this is the case, as I will be pressuring my dealer for a VIN as soon as they release the pricing and details of the CRD model.

Posted to Jeep Australia Twitter and Facebook sites. Will try anything. No reply from dealer and they said by Friday at the latest so one more day but I think I know what the answer will be... what a shocker. Great effort guys for at least creating a forum for me to better understand the issue.

BTW it was Laredo Bright Silver with QL.

Bundoora Jeep is getting a limited with QL (70th Anniversary) in next week or so. Not what I want but at least something is coming in.

Keen to purchase soon however I have a few questions

How much deposit should I put down to order ,

For the the guys that had a trade in ,did the dealers quote a trade in price and then honor it once the vehicle arrived a few month later ? or did the dealer revalue your trade in ?

Any advise would be appreciated.

I just gave them $2000. suppose to be the minimum to secure a order.
Was going to pay more but glad i did not. If I had known it was going to take this long I could have put the money on a term deposit account for 6 months.
The only thing I don't like is I will most likely have to renegotiate with the bank for the remainder, interest rates could go either way. They did say they would honor the contract for 3 months (fixed interest term for the life of the loan)

UNBELIEVABLE! Was gone in about 45min - they bloody deleted by post. Damn U Jeep Australia
This was the post:

This site has a list of people like me that are searching for reasons our GC orders are being delayed and in my case no delivery date can be given. Where are all the Laredos with QL? Ordered mine in Feb and Jeep Sales offering refund of deposit now... Just want my Jeep :(

I said that to my dealer and he said he hadnt heard that but makes sense - he said it wasnt affecting QL on limited or Overland. SO us 'poor cousins' with Laredos are second class citizens...

Couldnt Jeep Australia ot the dealer call me to tell me that. I think Im gonna get a Rubicon Wrangler and pimp it up instead. GC smooth ride out the door.

QUestion - Are the QUarda Lift suspensions parts produced in Japan? Where?

#143 ·
Yeah the reason was us poor cousins were giving away our quadra lift parts to the overlands. Im not sure where abouts in Japan, but i was told by the time it gets up and running, parts get sent to USA fitted to overland and limited models first and then laredos, shipped to australia it would be end of year. Makes sense to me, if anyone told me any different id be sceptical.

If dealers are selling cars that they know they cannot supply for many months, they need to tell you. They cannot keep dragging your order along. 30 days after ETA you can cancel your order.
I saw your post and then noticed it was gone. Poor form if they did not contact you privately.
See if they do twitter ? or call up Jeep Oz and speak to someone in charge

#149 · (Edited)
I only put down $500 and I will sell my car privately so delays are not a major pain. I waited 14 weeks for my BF Typhoon, so I hope it will be worth it.
Jeep need to realise that there are a lot of people who just read forums to assist them in buying a car. They never post and may change their mind over what is said in these places. Information is power and people selling stuff need to realise that we have alot of info and market influence.
I think it would be a good idea for Jeep Oz to have an official rep on these forums, as they are more public than failbook and it would allow them to fix problems and turn people towards their brand.

Started twitter campaign now. Username @gmango_au sent to @jeepaustralia. They can't delete my tweets. If you have twitter account please retweet. If not then get one... :D

I paid 500 but only coz I have 10k changeover. If the presales is this bad, how bad is postsales???

Well done, Jeep do not have the best reputation downunder, so they cannot afford to have lost clients over a communications breakdown at THEIR END !!!

Today I finally got a call from Chrysler Australia about my order. Having tried hard to get information for 3 weeks it wasn't too soon either. Maybe others have got calls too?

The guy asked if I would take any other specification than what I ordered. When I asked for a delivery time for my specific order before making that decision, he couldn't give any, just said "at least 3 months".

He did explain some. Chrysler Australia does NOT send your specific order to the US factory. They order a number of cars in different specs/colours based on their own beliefs of what the customers want.

In other words: An order is just a lottery ticket for next time they coincidentally have what you ordered available.

The reason for delays to Australian deliveries is because the factory has pushed out production of right hand drive models, he said. He assured me that there is no truth to rumours of Quadra Lift not being available until the end of next year.

Laredo 3.6 Whitegold w/QL ordered 6th Feb.

I also have been talking to Chrysler Australia and contradict some of your information.
1 they do do specific orders, I have my VON and waiting for it to go into production.
2 Milous has confirmed the RHD are not done in production runs but are mixed in with the LHD builds.

Read the entire thread Milous did list the production of GC going to Oz and ones that were in production.
I think the first shipment is full of GC ordered by Chrysler Oz huridly ordered after they were found to be so popular.
Then they tried to put customer orders in amongst these and ballsed it all up.
That's what I think has happened.
Now they need to off load all these GC that are not customer orders but don't meet the specs of customer orders.

:confused:Make any sense:confused:
