Re: WK2 DownUnder

I did an exercise a couple of weeks ago on the Australian Jeep website and priced a new Overland CRD pretending I was from Melbourne and then changed the Aussie dollars to our peasant dollars and it came out to $104000!!! So I think we are suffering from two problems, the Kiwi dollar exchange rate and the fact that NZ is only getting fully loaded Overland spec in Hemi and CRD. Only the V6 Penstar is available in Limited and Laredo is not even priced here.

Cheers Chris

I third this...My last car was a G6E Turbo, but my expectation is different with the V6 GC. The power is there when you need it, but certainly not the same as the turbo Falcon. Fuel economy is slightly better than the G6ET with the same driving after only 3000kms. I think the the V6 is a great engine and gives you everything you need unless you want the V8 or Diesel for towing.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Saw a brilliant black JGC in Sydney cbd today, looked sooooo good. Looks extremely muscular, partly due to it being a bit short and tall. When I pointed it out to a friend, he was like which? The Audi? I was like no, it's a jeep, and he was like wtf it looks awesome

Now getting even more impatient lol

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I am yet to see any in the wild yet. See heaps of X5, ML, Q7 and RR, but no JGC's which is a good thing as they will be rare. Good to see a few people getting their now.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

If anyone is in Melbourne and they want a unique petrol V6 limited, Nunawading jeep have / had a brand new Black limited with sat nav, panoramic sunroof, towbar front windows tinted and luxury pack on the floor for $69500 drive away. Very very tempted but i really want the Diesel as i tow a fair bit in the warmer months and spend a lot of time in medium to heavy traffic 5 days a week.
Enforcer I have one around the corner from me and I have seen a couple on the roads recently. Black seems to be the color of choice around here.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

that price is high, as you can get the Overland for $6k more, with the v8 or crd.
Still it saves waiting....

Great to see my car enjoying a central american holiday, I should fly over and enjoy the sun sea and sand. I hope they send me pictures of it going through the panama canal on it's way here. HURRY UP...

A mate of mine is a Port Melbourne ship's pilot captain.

He might be bringing yours into the harbour this evening!
