Just a few more hours and our babies will be here in Brissy......here's another link (type Brisbane and search) http://www.qships.transport.qld.gov....Movements.aspx

Spare a thought for me the Fidelio will be only 5 minutes away from our bond store close to Fisherman Island, but like you I'll have to wait until she berths at Port Kembla and then carted north to Sydney. The good thing is they'll turn her around quickly tomorrow and she'll be out later tomorrow heading south

That's a bit suss, all cars are manifested for customs purposes (both US & Australia) with VIN's etc so the dealer would have known 4 weeks ago....I think I'd be digging a little deeper. You would hate to think your dealer bumped your order to fill it with someone else. Did you get the VIN on your contract?

That sounds right Wardy, as we have been promised early to mid september delivery. Apparently it can take up to 2 weeks to clear customs and pre delivery. I just hope he does not mean that it will not be shipped until mid Sept.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I took delivery of my Diesel Laredo last week, very happy so far, under 1000km, I am yet to work out how to disarm the lights on when driving, the instructions on Page 105 of the handbook seem to be incorrect, when you take delivery make sure that the fuel consumption sticker is correct, mine was for a 4.7 litre v8, and more importantly the tow capacity sticker was for a v6 petrol at 2268kg and a tongue weight of 227kg not the 3500kg of the diesel. wrong sticker and accident= deep poo.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Wardy, Fuel consumption on windscreen, indicates Urban, highway and combined consumption, also co2 emissions. Tow capacity is on B pillar drivers side is yellow half way down.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Thanks for the headsup on the stickers hiland.
Why would you want to disable the DRL's ?
I plan to replace mine with white LED's as I do not like the yellowish colour they come with.
In fact I will be replacing all lights with LED's as I have a severe addiction to LEDs.

I wonder if these stickers are put on after the vehicles are being landed in Australia. It borders on being unbelievable that they can stuff that up.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Swampy, the fuel sticker is an Australian Government regulation and has the government website on it, I am not sure about the towing one.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hi Guys,
First post.... I have recently ordered a JGC Limited with Quadralift in deep cherry red, and was wondering if any one has successfully installed a Lockpick (or similar) on an Australian model? PS I have found this site has very useful and informative thanks.

Yep one of the guys has it and it does work, aside from the Sat tv/Radio stuff.
Why do you want it ?
