Also took the CRD for a test drive this morning . compared to the V8 there's nothing in , Fuel economy is swaying me to the CRD, Nice and quite and plenty of grunt , did have the Diesel rattle just as i accelerated but just for a split second.
Just waiting for a sharp price
Yep, Overland comes standard with ventilated front seats!

Don't hold your breath for a sharp price, all dealers seem to on the same page in terms of pricing. I buy 50-100 new Landcruisers for my offshore clients and can negotiate good rates. I bought 1 Jeep and I have no buying pull. The best I could get (without trying) was $1K off and a full tank of diesel. I wanted the car so I paid the price (even though the Yank cousins buy their Overlands for US$50k incl onroads), go figure.

Before you settle on a dealer the best thing you need to negotiate is the shortest waiting period, even if you have to go to an interstate dealer.

Mineral Grey.

When I ordered I was told only two colours are not premium paint.

Got mine of eBay.
CHR550
From memory.
10 days for delivery.
Or direct from the manufacturer http://www.coastaletech.com/CHR550.htm little more pricey.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

started building a new trailer last weekend.
Painted the under-body Mineral Grey using the jeep colour code.
To my surprise it is a lot darker then I thought.
It is the under-body at this stage, all shadows so that could appear darker than it is.
Will have to see what the outside looks when I get to it.
Only seen the colour on the brochure. And web.

It is dark in low light or overcase, but lightens up in direct sunlight. There is a Limited in MG that lives near me and it look different depending on the light.

The laredo diesel is now 2 weeks old and has 729k including todays trip. Cairns to Mission Beach and return through Mena Ck approx 350K, EVIC fuel consumption for the trip 7.6/100km. this for a vehicle with under 1000k on the clock is excellent, I filled up on return and it indicates DTE at999km. I am very satisfied.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

That is exceptional economy, I guess the EVIC only has 3 digit display for the DTE, or it would read over 1300km. You should change it to Miles you get.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Have you been given a VIN yet ?
The drive away price should be about $76,400 for a CRD Overland. I am happy to pay sticker price, as it is still much cheaper than the X5 the wife wanted @$107,000 and that was for a demo.

That's great fuel economy! Thanks for the update, this will give the CRD buyers that warm fuzzy feeling inside

Hi Gribbs
The question is what were the discounts discounted from? As Enforce states, the average retail is $75-$76k / Overland (CRD - Hemi). If that was your starting point then you and your friend have done well for yourselves.

In any case, like Enforcer, I was happy with this price, the Prado Kakadu is retailing circa $90k and the X5 +$100k, they're just not worth the money given the bells and whistles of the Overland (plus there seems to be an X5 on every street corner!).
