Re: WK2 DownUnder

I would just buy the bash plates and a nice steel set of 18" after you get the car. The OR tyres that come with the 18"s are more like all rounders, not true offroad rubber. You already get the ELSD with the Overland, so there is not much that ordering this from the factory would achieve.

Next time you stop by the dealership tell them you'd like to take a look at the original contract. When the salesman brings it out, ask him for a pen. Then proceed to draw a nice thick line through the bogus paint surcharge entry.

Hey Echucabarry, you must be the first in town with the new GC! I haven't seen one yet! Now I know it's around I'll keep a lookout!

Interesting, I had no idea they have such high surcharges for the paint. Even more shocking is the government fees - nearly $10k on the Overland.

Converted to U.S $ an Overland is $85,000. Ouch! I would guess the SRT will break 100k...

Thanks for posting that Outback

It confirms what Jeep Australia was telling me at the time of placing my order and also what the dealer didn't know at that time.

We nearly went for the Beige however have decided to go with the black on black. We thought that having the beige kickpanels and lower door trims in beige would be too hard to keep clean.
