Re: WK2 DownUnder

This Jeep is not even for me, it is the Wife who gets to drive it during the week.
I get to use it when we do things as a family, I wished it was mine. I may get a SRT8 if we ever see them here and they are a fair price.
The dealer has confirmed my pickup tomorrow morning, so it is all go for pickup tomorrow. I think a nice stiff scotch will be in order tonight to aid in the sleep.

I'm in exactly the same situation where I will only get to drive the JGC on weekends.

Do you think if we put in a bulk order of 2 SRT8's they will give us a discount? Maybe not...

Yeah thanks for that! I just caught myself logging onto carsguide just to remind me what the Inferno looked like. It's left the Sydney dealership (with 18kms on it) so hopefully it's now in a holding yard waiting for the next carrier up to Brissy.

I mentioned previously I was not this excited with anticipation when I picked up my Prado. There is just something about the shape of this fine piece of machinery that has captured my imagination.

What? Over 300 posts and it not even yours! At least the consolation is you can drive it on weekends .

This is my first foray into the Jeep brand so if it proves to be a keeper I may explore others. Dumb question.....what's the main difference with the GC and an SRT8? Looks like a revhead version of the GC, yes? Are they

And, if I do change what does one do about an alias limited to WK2's? When I signed up to this forum I didn't think I'd be here long and just came up with any old alias, not sure if these can be amended or whether I stuck with it. I'd like to upgrade and support the forum, it's been a fun ride so far!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

mines for my wife too.......what's with that? she's excited too, but i agree with the earlier post, there's something about this shape that keeps you coming back for more.

now it's at the port......no more tracking......LOL, guess it's just the old fashioned waiting game now.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yeah, I originally wanted White or Charcoal but the Tsunami messed all that up with colour shortage. White really stands out against the trim and tyres and is much easier to keep clean too! At one point I hadn't washed my white prado for over a year and you could only tell it was dirty if the kids disturbed the dirt with their fingers!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Try our red dust on the white!
Every seam and crevice gets stained, and impossible to get out.
Like the white and chrome look though, looks smart and clean.
Mineral grey is about the colour of the stains on the white.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Took delivery of a charcoal overland last night. Very happy after my 5 month wait. Couple of issues, driver side door trim loose and cannot get a sat signal. After 3 hours of melbourne driving, no map no sat nav, max of 1 satelite found. Anyone got their sat nav working?
