A bit like the Touareg ad eh where the guy goes to sleep in his bed in the evening and wakes up in his Touareg in the morning - it's a great ad and probably sums up our expectation of the lean machines!

How will you keep yours clean with all the red dust?

Did your dealer do a handover with you? You'd think as part of the "dealer delivery" process these guys would iron out these last minute and annoying bugs.

When someone throws $75k on the table for a car they've waited for 5 months you'd think they have it ready.

Seems to me Jeep's pre delivery check list needs some tweaking. You need to go back to the dealer and get them to sort these 2 issues out.

There's another 2 issues to check when mine get's here.

Just got back form the dealer with mine, but the wife had to take the kids to swimming, so no pictures for a couple of hours.
The satnav was just a blue screen for about 10 mins, but it is all fine now.
Cannot complain about anything with the car, it is perfect. I think the sales guy was a bit upset I just wanted to get the keys and leave as I had already paired my phone while it was on the showroom floor. There are going to be 4 other happy GC owners today, as they had 5 to deliver in total today.

Congrats Enforcer! Maybe your dealer was geared up for the usual +/- 30 minute handover process and may not have been prepared for the "give me the keys, I'm out of here" response. Bummer about the swimming.....did you shed a tear as your wife and kids drove off?

Does it drive as you remember from your test driving days? I still remember the spacious feel typical of yank tanks when compared to jap cars (prado).

Unfortunately mine is still sitting in the Suttons showroom a rope cordon preventing sticky fingerprints from tyre kickers. The carrier has not yet collected . Have sent a please explain.

Hand was each weekend.
Wax every other month.

But the seams are near impossible to keep the dust out.

The light Pewter WJ I have has been the best for not showing the red dust seams.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Yes, that was mine at nunawading jeep. Sales guy was great through the whole process, got me the charcoal much sooner than my mineral grey on order and equally happy with the colour. In fact charcoal is quite awesome in sunlight... All the metal flake glistens, which totally transforms it. Sales guy did fine job of handover, just that it was 5pm and i was out of time. My sat nav got there eventually today, after 6 hours of driving it eventually found 6 satellites and gave me a map instead of blue screen. It promptly lost them all by the time i got home. I am suspicious of the aerial, because my tom tom pics up satellites just fine.
