Picked up the car, and loving it already! Love the illumination at night, but couldn't find the start button cause it's not lit up. Bet that won't take long to adjust too.

400 k drive home today, so should be a good first drive. my wife is mega happy with her new car! Taking pictures this morning, so will post later.

The unit can be mounted away under the dash or in the consul. I will also report back on that mod when I do it. I only got my new WK2 on thursday from Central Coast Jeep Gosford and very happy with it. I will post the photos and how to to on the other Jeep posts as well. Catch you later.

David, very interested in the details, I plan to do exactly the same.

I look forward to the photos.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

David,
I have air suspension.
Looks like I can get a small Optima in the tyre well next to the tyre, near the air-tank. Looked today after removing the plastic well liner there is a lot of room there, will have to cut one corner of the well liner.
Already run the high amp cables and relays, and one out near the hitch for the trailer.
Got the fridge in and a temporary mounted Optima tied to the child seat tie-down.
Did not know how noisy my old waeco fridge is. Did not hear it in the old WJ CRD.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

We have now got just over 3000km on the clock, and the only annoying features are the radio has a crap reception in fringe areas. The GPS appears to be a very basic unit (compared to current Tom Tom and Garmin portable units) and there are absolutely no written instructions available for it's operation.

We too had a door poorly aligned door, LF, but this has been adjusted and is fine now. Our paint finish is perfect!

Overall, very happy Jeepsters and what a magnificent tow vehicle!!

Cheers Chris

Nutt17
Contact Jeep Aust as i did and ask for the manual for the Sat/Nav they had one that they are going to post to me which i should recive early next week.

WK2 finally you got your ride, i just love mine

Question for some with overlands?????

Do the the windows have auto down fitted? as i cant get m ine to work
also the mirrors should fold out automatically when you enter or start the motor, i have got it to work once but cannot remember the sequence?
The two keyless remotes shopuld program for individual settings but mine dont seem to work either.
Going into the dealer next week for the 1000km service check and have the windows tinted

This week end i have seen three new GC on the road so they are now getting to our shores

Andy

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I have emailed my contact in Jeep Oz for a copy of the Satnav and uconnect manuals in soft copy for anyone to have access to.

My windows have auto down and up on both front windows

My mirrors only fold with the press of a button. I seem to remember reading that if they are folded in, they will come out at the 26km/h or whatever the doors lock at, but that could have been from another car I cannot be sure.

We do not use the folding mirrors yet as we do not park anywhere it would be needed.

Read the manual and learn how to set the individual key setting. It needs to be turned on in the EVIC and you need to follow the procedure in the manual.

Great to see some more GC's on the road.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Many, many sleeps to go until my Overlander CRD arrives

I'll obviously get a 2012 model and I just read in this forum that (for US) Quadra-Drive II (and with it the ELSD) is not included any longer with the Overlander V8, only if you also have the Off-Road package.

I'm wondering if there is a similar change for Aus on the cards. Dealer knows nothing...

Anyone have a build sheet for a 2012 Overland CRD and can comment on this?

Thanks
Peter

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I do not think any of the AU 2012 are being built yet. I think they go into production next week from memory.

Thanks Enforcer. In this case I will wait for the reports. Still plenty of time until mine gets built.
