Re: WK2 DownUnder

I wonder if the shipment which is currently being distributed is MY12 or MY11.
If production of MY12 started in late June, then there is a possibility that these where built in August.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I would pay that, as ours lives outside and starting it before we load the kids would be handy.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

The remote starting is a blast at shopping centres.
You wait till someoneis packing their car next to yours, then from a distance you start your car. They get a shock when they cannot see anyone in the driver's seat.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Dealer rang back this morning.
They believe it is not allowed for all Australia.
So they will not program the WIM and Chrysler will block access to the codes.

But there are aftermarket ones that use your existing key fob.
Double click unlock to start.
They use a loop around the ignition / start button and learn the fob/key.
T harness in between the ignition and the WIM.
Will look tonight and post some brands.

Extra Camera Imput
Hi there just wondering if anyone in Australia has ordered a lockpick from the states or worked out how to add another camerra imput so you can have a camera fitted to a caravan and view it on the radio whilst towing.
Thanks

Shipping Tracking

Check this out I have just done it and found my vehicle on the manifest, cool!

New Vehicle Tracking in Transit
If you are waiting on a new car and want to track its progress to Australia you can do so by using the links below.

First of all you need the VIN of your car, so depending on your relationship with your dealer you might have to play nice, haha. Once you have the VIN you simply copy and paste the full 17 characters into the "Cargo ID" field on the Wallenius Wilhemsen (WW) tracking site.

Generally speaking, the car won't show up on the tracking site until a few days after it has been built. Once you're in you'll get a rough itinerary of the vessel's voyage, which can be accessed by clicking on the "Voyage Number". You can also do few other nerdy things by going back to the first link (below) and searching by "Bill of Lading" or "Booking Number" - by doing this you should be able to see the VINs of the other cars on the boat (although, usually this will be limited to all cars of the same manufacturer - Volkswagen, Audi etc).

WW tracking:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do

From the WW site you will also get the name of the boat your car is on. The WW site only updates itself after the vessel has left each stop. So, if you want to keep a closer eye on the boat you should be able to do so using the links below. In my experience they don't always update reliably, but when they do, you can get real time stats and progress, pretty damn cool!

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hi,

Message for Enforcer.

Did you get a build list from Milous?

I noted on mine that it has SERS Quadra Lift Air Suspension and further down under optional equipment it has:

ZKAP Spring - Left Front
ZKRP Spring - Left Rear
ZYAP Spring - Right Front
ZYRP Spring - Right Rear

I suppose I am checking whether it does have Quadralift and it hasn't been optioned to sprung suspension.

If yours has the same above and has been delivered Quadralift then I can rest easy.

Appreciate your help.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

If you check the following site http://www.maxmotorsdirect.com/web/n...ssouri/841449/ you will see those part codes for a 2011 GC in the States.
I don't know if that means anything though.
