Re: WK2 DownUnder

What dealer did the service ?
I am surprised by the cost of the service, not a bad price.
Have fun at the GP, it will be a blast to see Casey win the world championship.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Howdy all,
Im Cam. Im new so be nice
Looking to get a Grand Cherokee soon, got to drive some on weekend, they seem like nice fun cars, now i just gotta find an ex demo diesel floating round, not many of them. Hope to join the club soon.

If anyone is after a cheapish petrol version in Sydney, Penrith Jeep do have a white ex demo laredo they are willing to let go for around $45K, maybe even a little under. I was tempted but i really want the diesel.

Just thought id let ya know and say hi

Bellbowrie Motors Coffs Harbour did the service, Glad I brought the Jeep off them now, as I was getting prices all over the place, waste of time really cause there isn't much discounting going when you've got to order a car.... Nevermind. We make trek to the GP every year, always a great vibe on the Island, then on the way back get out the maps and try to find different ways to get through the mountains off road from Vic to Jindabyne, last year was a worry as there had been alot of storms and lots of trees down and we only had a hand saw, it was a long day, and to top it off as it was getting dark we finally made it the Murray River crossing with the storms and the thaw the river was about five feet deep and flowing fast, where the year before it was two feet deep and passable, mind you with sweaty brow.... Anyway, after debating wether to stay in a hut we found, we ended up finding a "do not enter trespassers will be shot" type gate, we figured gettin shot mightn't be to bad at this stage, as it turned out the people were great, into bikes and stuff and also had a neat causeway across the river, although flooded was passable just.... That was in a 120 series Prado, Don't think I'll try as tougher trail as that in the Jeep yet until I get sorted with some more all terrain type wheels and tyres, as we do the trip on our own with limited recovery equipment, and no phone coverage, my wife loves my holiday ideas... But we will still find some way through as it just awesome off road inthe snow country.... Gee, that was a little off subject, sorry....

Hi cam, welcome. I'm also new with a diesel quadralift laredo on order. Still at least two months away... There is a silver 2011 CRD limited with about 400ks on it in QLD that I know the dealer is getting ready to sell. Not sure on price but I think 63k would get it. Not sure about transport... PM me if you are interested

Re: WK2 DownUnder

Hello to all.

My vehicle is currently sitting at Curtis Bay, waiting for a boat. How many others here are in the same situation?

There appears to be ships leaving for our route on the 6th Oct and then about the 14th Oct (from memory). Hopefully ours will make the boat on the 6th although tracking still has it sitting in a rail car at this time.

I wonder if they wait for a sizable quantity to ship or they just ship adhock, whenever the vehicles and boats are available.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I'm quite annoyed that my car is still in PR, it is supposed to be delivered early November. Is it possible that there is something wrong with the tracking number?

Hey, thanks for the heads up, although i think im going to stick with the Laredo, dont see the value in paying the extra for the limited. So if ya see a Laredo Diesel let me know.

Re: WK2 DownUnder

I don't think you will find one of those sitting idly. I also wouldn't see spending the extra 11k on a limited, but each to their own.
