None Overland white/indigo ORAII in stock .... needs to be an order ... so 3 month wait.

As for the bull bar .... I am not sure if I need a winch ... so my options are open

I have seen the Uneek on Numb Thumbs WK last week http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/...nsion Heights/P4130001_zpscd5b052e.jpghttp://... very tough looking

I still have a bit of research to do ... TOH like the polished look so ECB is on the list to see.

I will need to see where I can mount the compressor (I'm thinking AirMax III) .... any tips on under bonnet mounts?

Regards

Rob

Rob,
I hope that you are right but I wouldn't be holding my breath. Currently GCs are taking about 6 months from order to delivery. Mine was ordered 9th Jan and ETA to Port in Aust is 11 June.

Hi Gr8Ness

Bugger ...... do you want to lend me yours for a few months then ...
I promise to do a full test of suspension and other capabilities for you ... completely free of charge.

Seriously ... lease will finish on 11 July.. I have a couple of MX5's but they certainly aren't up to doing the Big Trip (not in comfort anyway).

I am going to have a stiff drink, and a good lie down ...

Regards

Rob

Rob, If only I still lived in Melbourne. I would be only too happy to lend you my car:rolleyes:

I'm running around in a 2003 Mazda 2 that I have owned since new. But that is all it is good for, running around town.

A "stiff drink and a lie down" hmmm, splendid idea.

G'day Benn0

Thanks for the link .... I thought the MaxAir III was a bit pricey .... thanks for blowing that theory out of the water.

That colour combination you chose is certainly stunning/classy ..... and I'm sure worth the wait.

Might call in and see you when I'm heading up to Taylors Beach to see the kids ... don't put the kettle on just yet though.

Regards

Rob

"Orders for MY14 finish today, with MY15 ordering opening June 9."

Any ideas on what's the 15 upgrade has got that is different?

Ohh ... AirMax MaxAir ... I think that stiff drink has had its way with me .... Perhaps I look at just putting the pump in the back ... sounds easier

Regards

Rob

All current models have a "Power Liftgate" (except Laredo).

Seated in the driver's position, while parked with brake on, can't the driver use the Key Fob to operate the Lift Gate?

Well that would be enough to send most people screaming from the vehicle Shertim however, with regards to the EDR :-

It records the speed of the vehicle at time of 'incident' and also whether and how far the driver was depressing the accelerator. The manual calls this a 'non-trivial' incident by the way. (Pages 45-46 of the Operating Information Manual).

From my reading of how it works (from this forum but it was at least 6 months ago since I read), the EDR is located in the front passengers door and mostly sits 'dormant' but recording but continues to rewrite over.

However, at 'incident' time (and I believe, although I stand to be corrected) once the air bags deploy, it locks down its last 30 seconds (?) perhaps 60 seconds of data for review by accident/insurance investigators.

ETA: He says he wasn't texting nor speeding at time of incident. Well we'll have to take his word on the texting bizzo but the EDR will provide real data on the speed and acceleration of the SRT at the time.

Such a friggen waste of a beautiful vehicle.

The police would only use the EDR if there was a fatality or they cannot establish the events that led to the incident. They require a court order (or your permission) to access this data and only for serious matters.

Ok bit of a progress update.
Been running the my14 srt on United 100 Premium and it's going quite well. I'm getting about 10% more kms out of the tank but I am also alternating between 100 and 98 just.

Note premium 100 contains UP To 10% ethanol. Jeep have approved it for cars post 2002 or something like that
