Re: WK2 Offroad

That poor old disco needed a bit of towing, did he break something?

The GC looked like it went well......

Yeah he went a bit crazy at the start of the track (where the car flips up)
he broke the rear axle! he used his locker to get drive to the other axle, however the right side also broke. so he ended up being towed.

The GC went really well, with no dramas!

Great video. I'm now slightly concerned. Is there chicken runs?

I might also be heading to Yalwal in the coming weeks. 3 x Grand Cherokees maybe?

I did some off road work on the weekend, Mopar rock rails got a bit of a workout. My front wheel definitely brakes when it is up in the air.

LOL yep I was concerned too, but with good spotting you get through without damage. There are some chicken routes but not always. luckily the two hardest sections have chicken routes. At the start we were at the rock gardens there's the hard line (where the big boys went) then there the line I took which is the chicken track, but there a third track which is the chicken track for the chicken track through the rock gardens!

But I would recommend a bar or the chief lower guard (when it comes out) before you try Monkey gum. there are some sections where you need to gun it a little and a small hit may occur, or you can get winched over some of the harder sections.

Also have the chief or uneek front bash plate.

It is a hard track but you can get though if you take your time and watch your lines also have a good spotter!

Do any of you guys find that when your spinning the steering wheel you accidentally push the voice control button / phone button. Especially when bouncing off rocks and ruts.
I couldn't get her to shut up! Was driving me nuts.

I did that I think half a dozen times in the first week I owned mineódrove me up the wall. I made a bit of an adjustment to the way I held the wheel and I think I've done it maybe once since.
