Figured if I'm going to use it properly, the scratches are inevitable.
Sometimes still wish I went for the Black though, looks best!

I got white mainly as it doesnt show a lot of marks but i am finding the outside trim pieces around the glass scatch quiet badly.
I was thinking of getting some vinyl wrap or something.

Forgot.

Had a Kodak moment as well on Saturday. He was a good sport and posed for the photo but when it happened again a bit further up he was adamant he didnt need help.

He could use a rear locker in that thing.

Nice videos, thanks for sharing, always nice to see a GC not in paved roads but doing what they do best.

Wanted to show two clips, one is of my jeep heading up a section and the other is my brother in laws Toyota heading up the same section. I dont have the EDiff and he doesnt have a locker.

You can see the difference and he also smashed the stump pretty hard.

Nice. Reminds me of Hollister Hills about an hour from where I live. A playground for our GCs. White paint hides the scratches. My last rig was black and showed every scratch.

The QL helps get over the obstacles, too. I like it, you get extra clearance when needed and then it hunkers down low for high speed highway cruising. A rough ride at ORA-II? Maybe, but I'm not going fast either so it's okay.

On my 20" wheels I'm able to surmount good obstacles, so they do okay.

Hey Boxheadmr can you show your brother in law the pause button so that we don't get seasick watching the shots while he walks to the next position? Thanks.

Stay on the trails, and keep it shiny side up, rubber side down.

It took me a while just to get him to work my phone. Before that i got photos as he clicked the camera button to start recording and then again once finished. It wasnt until i went to look at the footage towards the end of the day i realised he hadnt captured anything.

That's an interesting line you took there. Going to be interesting going from a point and shoot flexi coil patrol to the GC. Going to have to rethink the lines a little. Love the wheels in the air feeling though. The only thing I wonder with these modern 4wd systems, will the tracks get chewed up more being that wheel spin needs to be initiated to get the traction aids to operate?

Re: WK2 Offroad

You could say the same for older 4wds without traction aids/lockers that they often need more gas to keep the momentum going.

I went from a 100 series cruiser, with stock rear LSD (basically open) and no front locker. It spun wheels a lot more than my GC does.

Re: WK2 Offroad

Received some maxtrax knockoffs for fathers day $88 including a bag. Im happy as they are only for emergency use. Same as a winch they might never get used. Mounted up just nice for my next trip to stockton beach.
Mounted using traxrax and maxtrax locking pins, still need to cut bolt heads of and adjust pins but it will work just fine.
