WK2 - remote start down under.

I will take as many pics as I can Tahlee, it will be at least the start of July before I'm back home though so hopefully all the stars align and I can get it fitted.

The jeep and my wife will be happy campers, yesterday was the first day it was cold enough for auto comfort on to start up the steering wheel and seats when the wife started it up.

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

Yes, it's the same kit we have discussed since post #121.

What is interesting with that eBay listing is that it shoew a different key to the Mopar site.
It reflects Sheriffs problem with his key - no lift gate button.

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

'Spose I should have read the whole thread properly huh?

I was referring to post #153 which has the different part number.

Sorry for any confusion.

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

So I'm going through the http://cdncontent2.idatalink.com/cor...N_20130911.pdf and it is likely I will wire up :

1) Driver door pin, for RAP Shutdown. Also wakes up the module. (I'm not quite sure I want this, as we already have it by default - Retained Accessory Power, keeps things like radio running until door is opened etc)
2) Horn Output.
3) Hood status pin. Disables remote start if hood open.
4) T Harness for Canbus.
5) Parking like MUX and Parking lights can be ignored. I dont see the point.
6) Program the fobik
7) Exit the Navigational menus(Manditory, else the module will drain the battery).

It seems the module runtime default is 15mins. However it is configurable, max 35mins. I believe this means the car shutsdown if it is not taken over within the set time.

One guy said it takes 10 sec to start up after your press lock x3. It seems the default is 2 seconds, and again configurable..

The takeover option is enabled by default, but if disabled the car will shutdown when a door is open...

Horn, is also configurable. too many to mention.

It seems Flashlogic have very well thought out what the customers want. I'm quite happy if all these work as smoothly as it sounds and cant want for the install.
