Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

While not a GC owner yet, I hope to be shortly.

The thing that is annoying me the most is the remote start, I have done some research and and come across this aftermarket brand. I was wondering if anyone at all had tried this setup on a RHD unit.

I have emailed the company and are waiting a response.

What do you think ?

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

Looks pretty comprehensive. A good question to ask is how the device and programming interfaces with the Steering Shaft Lock module.

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

Sorry been busy at work, trying to our sell cars and buy a Jeep.

here is the reply, I will fingd out the distrib is in Oz.

Marc:

Unfortunately we do not have these vehicles, with the Australian country codes available, in the States to test so I cannot guarantee it's operation.

We do have a distributor in Australia, that I could put you in touch with if you give me your local & information I will have them contact you,,,or have my sales manager provide you their information as they have much more information specific to your vehicle.

The installation guide is available for you to look over on our Flash Logic web site,,,Just enter your vehicle information,,,then click on installation guide.

Thank You
Have A Good Day
Best Regards,
John

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

Have emailed to find out the Oz dist and waiting a email back.

On one of the wrangler forums they have installed these and swear by them, just dont know if the Oz and US versions will be a issue. Looking again at Page 5 it looks like there are only 3 wires to connect the rest is plug and play.

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

So have been in contact with Flashlogic and here is the deal.

1) No warranty
2) No Support

But from what we can work out and there is no promise that this will work and I dont have a JGC yet to try it out so if anyone wants to give it go, knock yourself out, otherwise i will as soon as I get my JGC.

If you have a a standard JGC this kit is the one you need, it is pretty much plug and play, some wiring is required though.

I am still waiting for the Oz contact

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

I am guessing not, quite a few people on the wrangler forums have fitted flash logic and reckon there great.

If you go ahead let us know how you go.
