WK2 - remote start down under.

You'll drain your key fob battery quicker if you had it- hard to resist not to remote start every time. Consider yourself lucky not to have it.

Re: WK2 - remote start down under.

I continually get the "Battery Low" for the keyfob. Replaced it, and still no change. Even the Spare fob has the same issues and that is rarely used. I doubt whether Remote Start will therefore impact battery life.

I do know the EMT doesn't appear normally, only when and immediately after using the remote start.

Hopefully I'll be at the dealer 1st week in April

Excuse me for not reading the whole thread...

I was merely thanking him for mentioning a local (to me) installer/supplier.

Thanks for the heads up - I called them and they passed me onto their Sydney guy (I'm in Sydney).
I've given up on the fortin remote start unit, tried multiple times but can't get it to reliably start the car EVERY time.. It will work after reprogramming the unit with new decryption but then it will only start the car after a few attempts (first attempt after reprogramming always works, then it seems to not give valid start instructions a few times, to me it's like the key decryption isn't quite there yet).

These guys are using compustar to achieve the remote start function..
