And yet ARB and TJM etc make bulbar, snorkels etc for models that sell way less and where released after the JGC
Shame shame shame ARB TJM

They almost don't deserve our business even if they get their acts together!!!1

Re: WK2 Snorkel

i do see where they are coming from though. they develop things for utes almost immediately as there would be a higher % of people who add accessories like bullbars to the vehicle due to the type of vehicle they are and the customer they attract (tradies, farmers, govt./mine vehicles etc.)
another thing is with the 2014 model coming out soon, and the whole 2011-2012 tow hook debacle they could just not be bothered with the effort of taking the changes into account when making accessories
but i still definitely think it would be worth their while to invest in the development for the WK2. If only they were on this forum and participated actively!

Your also forgetting that the JGC is one of the best selling SUV's in the USA
So if your talking market for accessories that's a huge one

Re: WK2 Snorkel

Completely forgot about the yanks haha. However there isn't really the same market over there. Lifts, snorkels sure but not really bullbars, drawers and long range tanks.
In other words, 'weekend warrior' vs touring market

Re: WK2 Snorkel

Had a good look around the air filter area. I really don't see anyone coming out with a reasonably priced snorkel any time soon and if they did, I'm not sure I'd want my GC butchered in the way that they would have to get a snorkel in. We might just have to rely on the old sheet of canvas and some bungy straps. On the bright side, less drag on the freeway.

Ah, not true. Been in the US for the last 18 months, there is PLENTY of market for this sort of gear here!

Agree with you. I cant see how they can do it.

But there are some others that arent straight forward either and the snorkel manufacturers manage to do it. We can only be patient.

I sent an email to airflow last week asking how they were going, this is the response I received today

"Hi Paul

We have been working on the Grand Cherokee for some time now.
It has structural issues that we have not fully resolved yet.
It is the pluming to the air box that is the problem.
It will still be some time until we have this one working properly.
We could make it work with a limited air air supply as has other companies with other Jeep models.
Performance comes first with us.
We are committed to get a resolution to this.
As with Jeep they just keep making harder.
Please keep in contact."

So I guess all we can do is keep sending queries about it so they think its worth their time to sort it out

Re: WK2 Snorkel

If they ever make one to fit the WK2, this might look good. One could hang a couple of fangs in the opening and scare the crap out of birds. Poor choice of words. I meant it would deter birds from crapping on the car.

Re: WK2 Snorkel

I do like the look of TJM Airtec snorkels. I reckon they'd be most capable to style the best looking snorkel on a WK2.

Unfortunately they dont make them for many vehicles outside of the usual suspects.
