Did they accidentally install a turbo on yours?

Wouldn't be the first time jeep managed to make a ridiculous error in the factory.

Re: Worrying Whistle

Well it would be strange if it had anything to do with the motor if it is also happening on a 3.6. But you say it is related to accelerator use....

My guess is it is different to Mattw1992 and it is the turbo.

Had car at the dealers yesterday...whistle was an issue with power steering....a new part???? has been ordered...issue probably related to the fact that I drove the car for about 200kms after pick up with only a drop of power steering fluid...they missed this during the pre-delivery check as the power steering fluid container was all but empty when I checked it the next day

Re: Worrying Whistle

There have been a few posts in various threads out here where it seems the dealer was lax in checking fluid levels during pre-delivery inspection.

Doesn't inspire you with confidence when you get any servicing done with that particular dealer...we're not talking rocket science here...just checking fluid levels

Re: Worrying Whistle

Ask them WTF they did to justify their stuipidly expensive dealer delivery charge and what refund they plan to give you

Re: Worrying Whistle

You guys are misunderstanding exactly what the predelivery inspection actually is. Do you really think it comprises checking the car?
Noooo. You would be wrong.
The predelivery check is in fact the dealership checking they have all your money.

Re: Worrying Whistle

Just an update on my whistle sound. It is when I'm at highway speeds and i take my foot of the accelerator and the car is in 8th/overdrive. If i flick it into neutral/back to 7 or accelerate it goes away instantly. Obviously something to do with the tranny? any ideas?
