Re: 1999 WJ Spark Plugs

i use NGK, i use them on my snowmobile and like them so i got them for my jeep there like 5 a plug. i use to use champions in my cars but seemed to not be as durable. the white casing seemed to get brittle even with thick wire casings and everything, the reason i worry about that is that in my first snowmobile a piece of inside of the plug fell in to the cylinder and seized my motor. i check my plugs every time i change my oil (as most people know to do so). i'm OCD on all my vehicles engines, i wish i took pictures of my engine bay and stuff i just forget to when i have it open and am to lazy to go and do it when i'm doing this stuff. Ive been thinking about testing out the E3's but no one around me carries them.

Re: 1999 WJ Spark Plugs

I was planning the whole upgrade for my 4.0 WJ it just to keep everyting in check. I was planning to use Firepower 4.0 Ignition Kit and use the pulstar spark plugs.

Re: 1999 WJ Spark Plugs

Your best bet is to get the Mopar ones, or the Champion equivalent Drew.

In some cases, running a super high performance plug can cause the engine to run hotter!

NGK is all I've ever run in my Jeeps and that's all I am going to say.

Since the failure rate and the return rate is so high on them you should be able to easily find them at your favorite auto parts store.

I run NGK Iridiums. E3 plugs are junk, I melted 4 out of 8 in only 15 miles.
