Re: Air intake ducting? Lets make something new!!

Depends what car you have I can't see it in your profile ? , for me I wish I had the tools and computers to design something new for my SRT ,like they have in the Hellcat where it gets fresh air sucked in the front grill that's a sweet design in my books , but I don't understand how it keeps the rain out of the filter because it surely would get soaked ? ... Re: Air intake ducting? Lets make something new!!

I currently have the original KN intake setup. I have done some ducting for the radiator and front grill area. I have made ducting to channel more air to the intake from the front section. I have seen a good reduction in temp. Also it seems to provide more fresh air for sure. My next step is to redo the heat shroud. It will be different from the KN one and should provide 20 to 30% more air getting ducted. I am going to modify the snorkle(trumpet from the original air box. My main concern is the heat shroud. I just need to bend up some aluminum for a template. Also all is bolt in so there shouldn't be any frankestine surgery to do. All will be produced from carbon fiber. I have to do some work in the next few days on the jeep so Ill take some pics when the grille is off and more can be exposed for pics.
