Re: Catch Can Install

Now while assembling it (pretty straight forward) remember to run the tube from your inlet down to the bottom of the can!! The tube should be supplied. Also there is the picture of it completely assembled.

Re: Catch Can Install

After you assemble it you will need to find a good spot to mount it, which i chose to mount it on the cold air heat shield. It might be hard to tell but i used the supplied universal bracket and laid out a templet in marker to see where to drill my holes. Always drill smaller holes first just to make sure everything will line up correctly

Re: Catch Can Install

There is the shield with the holes in it. I used a drill bit a little bigger than the bolt to give clearance (smaller holes) and i used a 3/4 bit to clear for the hoses. Also i used a little black touch up paint on the raw metal after drilling just so it wont start to rust.

Re: Catch Can Install

Now i ran my 3/8 rubber gas line directly from the PCV valve, across the motor behind the alternator and into the inlet on the can. The outlet follows the same path back across the motor and runs into the factory PCV line to the intake. Now the 3/8 hose fit perfectly over the PCV line so i just pushed the 3/8 tube over the PCV line and used a hose clamp to hold them together.

Re: Catch Can Install

I think its a pretty clean setup, I recommend using 3/8 rubber gas line instead of the clear tubing provided in the kit just because it looks better. It took maybe an hour just due to the drilling and having to run to the store for more hose.

Re: Catch Can Install

Looks good. Is there a kind of a drain fitting on the can to get the crap out?

There is a drain plug on the bottom of the can. Ill empty it this weekend to see what it has in it.
