Re: Exhaust Help
The car geek in me has been following the 4.7 since it was introduced. Over and over dyno results have proved that the best exhaust combo for a modded 4.7 or the 4.7 HO is a 3" exhaust. Would you notice a difference in an upgrade from 2.5"? Likely not if you are not loaded with mods.
IMO - you money would be better spent somewhere else. A Superchips tuner or a custom tune would be a bonus. I have not done the SC on my WJ but ran one on my 4.7 Ram - it made worlds of difference, especially the transmission tune feature paired with the 91 octane engine tune. The trans tune paired with the "tow" tune was also very nice - it was designed for maximum torque which was helpful in a 5k lb truck.
