Post Re: Flowmaster Muffler Series Question!?

Well, I have it put on!
I took a short clip of the muffler in action, and you'll see my new Fender Moldings (Front and Rear). Dreamer, that part is for you. ha. I know you've been waiting to see the fenders.

I get the Rear Door Moldings soon!

Here it is. Sorry if the quality is bad. I didn't want the camera too close to the exhaust. lol.
Flowmaster 50 Series Delta. Loud enough for me.

Re: Flowmaster Muffler Series Question!?

I have the magnaflow catback and its too quite. Nice when driving at night trying to be low key, but I regret not getting the flow. I might be taking it off and putting the stock exhaust back on with a flow.

Re: Flowmaster Muffler Series Question!?

Thanks Dreamer!

Streetmike, mine is loud at first, when I start reving at high speed, which i love, and then after it shifts gears and at 45, it goes away, unless i keep on the gas just a tad.

But, its loud enough for me. I love Flowmaster.

Re: Flowmaster Muffler Series Question!?

I really like the way that this ZJ sounds

---------- Post added at 07:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:35 PM ----------

does anybody know if a tune like super-chips will get rid of the lack of gas going into the motor above 4000? (I think that the airy noise it makes while at high revs is do to a lack of fuel delivery)

Re: Flowmaster Muffler Series Question!?

Wow that sounds good, it makes me what to change out my exhaust.

Does anybody know how the Magnaflow catback compares to the 50 series? I don't know for some reason I feel the Magnflow is very restrictive. Is that caused by the Magnaflow muffler or the resonated tip? How is it in terms of sound? How would it sound if I remove the magnaflow muffler from the catback and place a 50 in there w/ the magnaflow tip? Like Andrew I don't want anything too loud.

Re: Flowmaster Muffler Series Question!?

from a former mustang guy let me give you the lowdown on flowmasters.

50 series is going to be a little throatier than stock but not much louder
original 40s are the loudest but have a higher pitch and drone like a sunuvabitch
super 40s drone a little less but sound about the same as the original 40
super 44s have the deepest and throatiest sound of them all but arent quit as LOUD as the original 40s.

imho super 44s ftmfw

here is a clip of them on my mustang

How would the 50 series sound if I remove my resonator? (for interior and exterior sounds)

I love it, but since I put my Cold Air Intake on it, its seem a little bit louder. Other than that, its great.
