Grounding problem 4.7 2000 wj

Having a problem with ground on my 2000 jeep grand cherokee lmtd. Does anyone have a picture or know where grounding wires go on passenger side? Three wires, one I know for sure the other two not so much. Is there a reason they may need to be attached at same point to complete some circuit? Computer is going haywire when hooked to scanner and engine cranks but will not start. This has been an ongoing problem that Frango 100 has been real helpful with but looking for other possibilitie. Thanks

Hi Sean, attached some drawings of the grounding points in the engine compartment and on the engine itself. Maybe this helps.
G103 is the ground used by the PCM, its on the RH side of the engine block, together with ground G102, just aft of the RH fwd engine mount.

Awesome frank thanks. Do you think it really matters where it is grounded? Just that it is grounded. Glad too hear from you.

Re: Grounding problem 4.7 2000 wj

If a grounding point is really grounded, it should not matter where it is grounded to, it will all be the same. But sometimes a grounding point can be bad, due to corrosion or paint on the contact surfaces.
