I want to put an exhaust on my Jeep. I am looking to go as cheap as possible. I don't care about drone my intake and system are loud and I love it! Would it be best to just slap on a powerstick? What diam and length etc. would I need? Do I just cut off the muffler and clamp the stick on? My Jeep is a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I6 4.0L any help would be appreciated! I want growl! <3
My other thought is possibly taking off the muffler and tailpipe assembly and simply slapping the Powerstick on there halfway under the Jeep and putting a simple turn down tailpipe on it....what do you think guys?
O.K guys, this is IT. My final plan for my exhaust system until I can afford a 1,5k system! (cat and everything else)
Please let me know if there is ANYTHING that you suggest I change. I am planning to order the Powerstick this week. I will be taking final measurements tomorrow to see if it will fit before the back. Again, any advice will help I do not want to mess up anything.
You probably won't want to hear this but I'll say it any way. Exhaust work is the one thing I won't do on my Jeeps; just ain't worth the aggravation. Take the power stik to a local exhaust shop, tell em you want to replace the stock muffler, sit in the waiting room and drink some free coffee and then pay them about $100. Trust me, it will get done right and you'll not waste a day cussing and swearing.
OK, got everything cut off and measured. Turns out my pipes are NOT 2 1/2 but 2 1/4! Good thing I didn't buy the Power stick yet! Anyway, It sounds real nice with the muffler and tailpipe gone and just a turn down on the end for now!
