i have a 2000 grand cherokee with a blown 4.0

i have a 2000 grand cherokee with a blown 4.0 engine...i also have a 96 cherokee with a good 4.0l engine....is it possible to swap the 96 cherokee engine into the 2000 grand cherokee????

The basic 4.0 hasn't changed over the years,You just have to use
all of the GC periphials such as probably the whole serpentine system,
distributor pickup,tb,etc. You know the drill,whatever is different put it on the 96 motor. It should all bolt right up.

99-04 wj blocks are all by themselves I am told. It is a completely redesigned block. Now if that is correct? i don't know. I was gonna try it but I don't have the money right now to have tried it. I am just rebuilding our 4.0 and sticking it back in.
