Question jeep wont start

ok well my 1999 jeep grand cherokee limited started too back fire and hesitate on my way home from work last week i made it about 0.5 km from home and it would start but if i touched the gas it would back fire and die now ive checked and cleaned all sensors and when i started it again it back fired so bad it BLEW UP THE MUFFLER I MEAN BLEW IT APART well after that it started a few more time same problem so i left it the next day i tryed too start it again and no start since the i have changed the plugs checked the omh's on the coils the fuel pump works its getting gas but still wont start so i guess i have to go to a shop and get it on a computer anyone know of anything else i could try before monday its a 99 4.7 with 280,000kms

do you get any codes from the computer.......otherwise it could literally be a million things.

ok so here we go the shop said it was the cam sensor so i had that changed then the map sensor code went on i would of got them too change it but i get parts at cost and it was easy too get at so i did that myself ran fine for 4-5 days then the same problem happened but this time no codes on computer and no check engine light any more now just the check gages light comes on so back too the shop i went for them too says its prob a short in the electrical harnesses some where but wanted an arm and both legs too find and fix it does anyone know of a way too check for the short mysef or is it a waiste of time and just blow the thing up lol wouldnt do that love my jeeps but i do have too watch the wife around the gas and matches

check the tb and see if theres any gunk in it...could be a tps sensor as well

ur talking about the air injection port? cause i cleaned that out and where is tbs located?

Its TPS and it is the Throttle Position Sensor, mounted on the Throttle Body LH side above the Idle Air Control stepper motor.
Did you find any dirt in the idle air passage on the Throttle Body and did you remove the Idle Air Control stepper motor as well, to clean the plunjer?
