Re: Low oil pressure and engine light flashing

Oil pressure sender on my old 4.0L zj was right around where the oil filter was, in fact I broke it once replacing the filter. The exact wording is "oil pressure switch" on rockauto.com, the BWD model is $43 at oriellys, $25 if you order online at rockauto.

Re: Low oil pressure and engine light flashing

Very good info!! I just had to replace my oil sensor...takes about 15 minutes.... but you need a 1 1/16 socket to get it out.... still a little weary on if that was the problem though.... How do you know if your oil pump is starting to fail?? would the gauge still act all eradic?? so far since changing the sensor I havent had any more problems with it.. there's no knocking or noises coming from the motor... but I havent had the opportunity to take it on a long ride yet...
