Texas Jeep is on a distinguished road
New exhaust

Well i want to install a new exhaust on my 01 WJ 4.0 which will include a high flow cat and muffler with 2.5" piping.
However i dont know whether to go with an Aero Turbine muffler or a magnalfow muffler.

I dont want anything too loud but i do want it to sound nice.
Im mainly going for the extra power/mpg.

Has anyone had either of these two installed? How does it sound and what do you think performance wise?

thanks

TJ

Re: New exhaust

I had a magnaflow on my 95 grand cherokee with the 4.0. Sounds good. Not to loud, good performance.

Re: New exhaust

^ I agree with you about the hp and mileage. Dont glasspacks have crazy drone? And if your looking for performance and mileage, CAI is the way to go.

as an owner of a 4.o youre not going to see much improvement in performance or mileage with an exhaust or cai its just not really a performance engine but it does have lots of torque down low. and of course an exhaust will tell youre butt dyno its faster

I personally never put a CAI on my 4.0 so i wouldnt know if it made a difference. Was just a suggestion because i have one on my 4.7 and it made quite a difference.
