Im looking for a little more power from my 4.0 and I have been reading up on throttle bodies. I have the K&N Cold Air Intake, Throttle Body Spacer which has no performance charcteristics but has improved my fuel milage by 3MPG. I have a Magnaflow Cat-Back and high flow cat and a Hypertech MAXPower tuner. Has anybody tested or been reading up on these. I was planning on putting a supercharger on it in the summer.

I was looking at putting this one. Any ideas?

If anyone can feel your pain on trying to get a 4.ol to move is me!! your talking to a man who put a 100 shot of nitrous on his 2001 WJ...First off if u have a WJ past 1999 headers are WORTHLESS due to the fact u have 2 pre-cats after your exhaust manfold now...Unless u cut those out its like farting in the wind....Now B&G does a great tune for these trucks i have one in my 2001 now cost was 350 and its ALOT better than HYPERTECH thats pure CRAP...trust me i bought about EVERY mod know to man to get my 4.0l to move besides gears and the cost of that for the gain was not worth it...Let me know if i can be of anymore help..

I have the airaaid throttle body spacer it does nothing for performance but it gave me an extra 3 MPG, so i guess it paided for itself. I bought it on Amazon for about $75 and free shipping

It definitely gave you an extra 3 MPG? Wow I really have to look into this.

Do you have any photos of how it looks installed?

So from the opening is it a gasket, the spacer, another gasket and then the TB to K&N?

TB Spacers are a waste, don't waste your time.

SCT tuning is available, I referred the guy who purchased by first SCT tuner to Josh Bryant. He had a 4.6 stroker in a WJ. He was extremely happy.

You said the word "Supercharger"?? Have you read about a company in Denver that has a nice supercharger kit for the 4.0 but a lot of customers say it sucks?? Have any of the members put a blower on a 4.0?? Oh yea remember if you give it more air " Big TB" it will change your torque curve. Higher rpms is where you will gain. Off road its nice to have low end torque..............Have Fun!
