Performance header in 04' G.Cherokee Laredo 4.0

Hi everyone,
Im trying to replace stock exhaust headers in my 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0 VIN# 1J4GW48S94C286729
I have performance stainless steel short header for TJ 4.0L AMC 242/Power Tech l6 , and I'm wondering if it fits my engine.
Header pic:
Stainless Racing Manifold Header Exhaust 00 06 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4 0L L6 AMC 242 | eBay

Looks like exhaust end will fit, cause I have "Y" type connector over there with two o2 sensors. I did not disassemble old headers yet but position line-up of headers and head ports looks like it will fit as well. My concern is about mainfold /engine side of header - exact shape of outlets itself. I've seen pictures of factory stock headers for 2004 WJ 4.0 and they look kind of square inside with rounded corners, while my replacement header has round inlets - with second and fifth inlet having one straight edge.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Love the price but compare it to the banks header or the AFE on ebay just I think they alittle different. One way to find out is take your current stuff off. I think the outlets will be ok if it works kinda hard to make square tubing. But havent seen ports on both to compare too.

Ok,in attachment I included two pictures I found on web. This will explain what I am talking about. On one, there is original header with square inlets (one on top) compared to some header with round inlets.
The other pic shows original WJ header with square inlets. My replacement header has 1.5" diameter round inlets (see the pic. in my first post). I'm wondering , if it will cover square ports from engine completely, or it will be creating obstructions for the flow.
Note: No aftermarket headers for jeeps have square inlets..at least I haven't seen any, so how that connection :square to round works? anyone had it done before?

Re: Performance header in 04' G.Cherokee Laredo 4.0

I have a dim recall that the factory exhaust manifold on the 4.0 jeep in no way resembles the actual shape of the engine ports.

You could check this with Hesco, Banks, etc. customer service.

I'd make sure all the emissions pieces plug in correctly so you don't get failed on a visual inspection if your state has rigid checks.

Re: Performance header in 04' G.Cherokee Laredo 4.0

Had to put header change on hold, simply due to my busy work schedule, and lack of free time. Will do it some time after holiday season. So far I found out, that round shaped inlets in my performance replacement header should work ok with square shaped engine outlets - I bought original header gasket for 2004 WJ with square shaped exhaust openings, and it looks like round openings in new header are little bit bigger and completely cover square engine outlets. Line up is fine. That's looking promising. For now , I sprayed 3 coats of VHT ceramic coating on new header, and cure it for several days. I will post complete info, after replacement attempt.
