Side Exit Exhaust?

Looking to do a side exit exhaust on my 4.0. Has anyone done this before? Pros? Cons? Pictures? Any feedback welcome

That i did, i have some video floating around on hear of it. I posted onto my build thread (links in the sig) and on the "lets talk flowmaster" thread.

That setup was a JBA Headers, Cat delete, and a Flowmaster Super 44 that was dumped before the rear tire.

PRO's:
-its a lighter setup over a full legnth exhaust
-Exhaust velocity is improved as the exhaust has a shorter distance to go, and it hotter leaving the pipe.
-Cat-less gave the most raw sound

CON's:
-Looks funny on a WK
-hot pipe under passenger door, could be a burn hazard
-Shoulda called it "DroneMaster" exhaust.
-sounded hollow IMO
-Very loud inside with windows down
-Not Emissions leagal for this setup (cat-less and still is cat-less)

Its your preferance bro, if you live in a state with emissions testing then keep the cats. Some of the cons are just my opinion on it. Any way here is the video of that setup...

Re: Side Exit Exhaust?

My cousin has the 4.0 2000wj and has it dump under the rear bench before rear axle, and sounds like shit. Just install a muffler section and have it exit in rear less drone, road noise
