I put the same exhaust on a few months ago. As soon as I saw that muff I chucked it. I'm actually. Turning it into a wall clock for my garage. But anyways I threw the biggest 3" in/out magnaflow muffler I could find on it and it sounds perfect for me. Killed most of the drone. And it sounds badass

Re: Summit 3" Exhaust Install

I thought about chucking the muff also but then it defeated the purpose of the "cheap" 3" system anyway. Of course it was all negated by the additional resonator anyway, so it still cost more than planned. I'm not happy with what I have but it will do for now and does sound pretty good. In retro spect I should have done exactly as you did and bought a quality 3" muffler and just fit that in there.

How long was you muffler anyway?

Re: Summit 3" Exhaust Install

So Ive been creeping here awhile but figured why not a good time to post.

I have ordered from this guy before, he makes his own exhaust kits with name brand mufflers, when I had my XJ I had a flowmaster kit and a high flow cat from him and it was great. His prices are pretty good too. When I get some more money Ill be ordering the magnaflow kit.

p.s. the guy is actually a member on cherokeeforum.

This is the wj kit with the magnaflow muffler, he sells the same kit with a flowmaster 40 as well ---99-04 Grand Cherokee Exhaust w/ MagnaFlow
