Superchips in a 4.7L HO

I have been reading the threads about the superchips and the sct tuners.
I am looking for people that have the HO motor and what results they have had.
I read a post in a couple different threads on a couple different forums about how the tuners dont add any noticeable power to the 4.7 HO, that the factory already tuned the HO motor as well as its going to be.

How true is this? Will you few out there with the HO motor please chime in?

2004 4.7L HO Overland
completely stock.

Thanks

Re: Superchips in a 4.7L HO

I don't have the HO motor but I'm going to chime in anyway. I just picked up a superchips flashpaq for my 01 a week ago and I can tell a difference. Better throttle response and it definitely seems to pull harder, although I have yet to try the 91 octane tune.

While that may not hold true for the HO motor, but the transmission updates should. It feels pretty normal if I take it easy, but the shifts are much firmer when I stomp on it. It also holds the gears a little longer, less gear searching when cruising down the road up and down hills. I feel this is where it makes the biggest improvement.

Check this out, he has the HO: http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php...ghlight=disney
