Question Throttle body spacer? 4.7 not HO

Was wondering if anyone had any input on a fair priced one other than air raid for 129.99? or if its worth putting on?

Throttle Body spacers are only good to hold the papers down on your desk.

It's a paper weight!

Do not buy one.

Re: Throttle body spacer? 4.7 not HO

I'd get your TB ported instead where you will get some gains. Spacers do nothing.

I agree with martyp.

Everytime in the past i have tried a TB spacer it has proven useless, except for a whistle when accelerating.

The whistle does sound kinda cool...turbo-ish....but other than that, it's pretty much useless.

Re: Throttle body spacer? 4.7 not HO

I get it know, sorry took so long... did however just put in a new shift solenoid block and a transgo hd2 shift kit love the results but got weird or harsh shift between 2-3,trans is full and not over, should i get a flash or just give it time? also have read about the TCM snip but I did put the resistor in, no superchips. Just put all this in yesterday... oh and thanks fellas @flyin ryan I'll have to wait on the ported TB for now but will definitely get to it

Re: Throttle body spacer? 4.7 not HO

The trans adaptives need reset.

This can be done with a scan tool or disconnecting the battery will also work.

If your still having issues you may want to take it to the dealer and have them do a transmission relearn on it.

Verify that all your work is correct first.

Re: Throttle body spacer? 4.7 not HO

i am just noticing this post. i recently installed a TB spacer and here are my observations: 1) my 4.7 seems to experience "turbo lag". like i step on the gas and it lags for a second then takes off like a rocket. 2) it recently became hard to start.

with all that said, can someone please explain the transmission mods explained above?
