My graphite grey 99 Limited just died last week.
I just put in an offer on a 2003 Slate Blue one.
I'm not super crazy about the color but pickings are slim in FarNorCal.
I'll actually have $ to spend on this one and I plan on getting some 20" SRT's.
Polished, grey, or stain black?
I really don't see this color around much.

Nice find! Sounds like a good deal, how many miles on it? I was trying to look up that color, is it deep slate pearl or steel blue pearl?

130K....it's a twin to yours.
I messed up, it's steel blue pearl with the agate leather interior.
Should have it all squared way in the next few months.

I was working on my list tonight
The drivers side passenger door is missing some door clips....just ordered them tonight from clips and fasteners via ebay.
My mechanic checked it out and says a transmission flush/service and a new battery are priority.
After that I think I'll do the akibono caliper switch. I did that switch on my 99....it makes a world of difference.
I also noticed the cruise control is not as responsive as the 99...I'm thinking vacuum leak?
I've also hit up Rancho Jeep in Rancho Cordova, CA (their buying my dead 99 GC Ltd) for a grill and front and rear bumper fascia's...hopefully in steel blue pearl.
I also plan on upgrading the stereo with a Sony with bluetooth.
It's got new tires so I can start saving up for SRT's, just not sure if I want stain black, grey or polished? thoughts?
I also wouldn't mind some elibach springs and Addco bars in the future.
Increasing the window tint would be nice too.
All in due time.

I'll post up picks once I clean it up this weekend.

Could you change my thread title to 2001 Steel Blue Pearl Limited 4.7L too please?

Nice!!!

New batteries are always a good thing, some people like to ride them til they die, but I just convinced my neighbor to replace a 9 year old battery before I had to give her a jump start and then replace it mid winter, probably the coldest day of the year too.....

As far as the transmission goes flushes aren't recommended, the best thing to do is just drop the pan, change the 2 filters, and refill with about 7 quarts of fluid.

I will make that change!

Eventhough i do agree that flushing of the transmission could be a risky thing, as you don't know whats inside the flush machine, depending on the state of the fluid it could also be a bad idea to keep the 4+ liters of fluid trapped inside the torque converter and cooler. If fluid doesn't look too good, would be better to remove the cooler return line and with the engine running flush out the old fluid. 100% it probably still will not be, because the fluid is mixed inside the torque converter, but its probably the best you can get.
